Year 5/6 Football Tournament
Eight schools participated in a local school football tournament ,this happens regularly every year. This was hosted at the Cotswolds School turf pitch, due to the horrible windy weather. This also introduced a rarely used rule of "if the ball goes over shoulder height a free kick is awarded to the opposing team" Representing Bledington, were Bailey ,Poppy,William,Oliver ,David, Barney, Josh and Jasper.
The results of the games were(in order):St.Andrews 0-1 Bledington, thanks to a stunning first half goal by Barney. Temple Guiting 0-0 Bledington, Great Rissington 1-1 thanks to another great goal from David. We carried on to finish third, Northleach came first and Great Rissington went on to finish second. But third was a great achievement, we also all appreciate the support of parents and guardians, well done to Bledington School football team!
