Great to meet you, we are new School Council!
We have been voted by our classmates to represent you and make all of the cool ideas we have actually happen!
This year, we have decided our group aims are:
-Clean up and replace anything broken in the playground games boxes
-Raise money for new sports equipment so we can play new sports in school
-Work alongside the teachers and the BSA to organise fun events
-Raise money for charities in fun ways
-Ensure our school is a fun, happy place for everyone
-Listen to everyone's ideas, even if they can't come true!
2021-22
This year we had a fantastic time, working hard as a team to come up with new ideas and make these ideas come to life for our friends.
- Raise money for new toys and games for use on the field
-Raise money for children in need in fun ways, we ran a Pyjama day!!
-Help make school a fun and happy place for everyone including running an assembly on the friendship stop the previous council bought
-Find out the clubs children want to see run, and get them running. We started new sports club and brought back 'chat and choose' for the Infants
2020-21 School Council
During these funny times, when we are in and out of school, we have had meetings in person and online. In general, our biggest aim was to make sure children were having fun, even if they can't be in school!
Once we were all back in school, we organised a big school clean up, a silly sports day within bubbles where everyone could see the others on the field, even if we couldn't play with them, and researched what new clubs children would love run in September.
2019 - 20 School Council Aims
In our first meeting, this year's school council set out their aims for their year in office. Across the year, the children wanted to...
1) Raise money for several charities including children in need, fair trade and others.
2) Celebrate Christmas in lots of exciting new ways in school
3) Improve the facilities in the school forest
4) Increase the amount of house competitions and the feeling of belonging to a house
5) Use twitter and the school website to offer the children of Bledington a voice, in a safe way.
6) Listen to the play time activities children want and run them for our friends
Stay posted for updates on how we are getting on!
Across the years, School Council have been instrumental in organising and changing several things around Bledington Primary. Below is a list of things of a few that we are most proud of:
