* Change to timings during Covid-19 - Update September 2020*
Please be on time and follow the below: To minimise contact at the gate, we will continue to operate staggered start and finish times. Please continue to use the pavement markings. I must impress upon you how important it is to be at the gate at your allotted time. No pupil should be coming in through the office at any time. To reduce waiting time for parents, families/siblings should arrive and enter together.
Arrive 8.50 - All Parrot class (Y5/6)
Arrive 9.00 – All Penguin class (Y2,Y3,Y4)
Arrive 9.10 – All Owl Class Reception/Y1)
If you have children in different classes then PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE EARLIEST TIME ALLOTTED ie if you have a child in Y1, another in Y3 and one in Y5, you should all arrive at 8.50 and go straight to your class. Parents please drop at gate and quickly move away back to your car.
At the end of the day:
Pick up 2.50 – All Owl class.
Pick up 3.05 - All Penguin class
Pick up 3.15 - All Parrot class.
PLEASE COLLECT ALL YOUR CHILDREN AT THE LATEST TIME ALLOCATED ie if you have a child in Reception, one in Y4 and another in Y6, you should pick up at 3.15. The oldest child will gather his/her siblings and bring them to the gate.
The school day starts at 8:55am and finishes at 3:15pm. The gate is opened at 8:45am when parents and children are welcomed into the playground by members of staff.
Children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have a morning break from 10:40 - 11:00 on the field.
Children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 attend an afternoon assembly between 2.15 and 2.30pm.
At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are asked to wait in the playground unless the weather is particularly bad in which case children will be invited straight into school. (We do have an Early Bird Club available for pupils to enroll in from 8am if required.)
Our School day starts at 8:55. Parents and children are asked to be in the school playground from 8:45 onwards. Usually we have Assembly from 2.15 to 2.35. The school day ends at 3:15 when gates are opened to parents and carers. Clubs run Monday to Thursday after school until 4pm.
If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know in order to avoid any inconvenience to children, teachers and yourself.
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks.
If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely and safely on the side streets beside the school.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
