Bledington Primary has a wonderful group of children who are working hard to make sure the school is as eco-friendly as we can be. They are looking into our recycling, water use, saving electricity, reusing resources and making money for making charities which are saving our world.

Nice to meet you. We are the new Eco-Council!
We want to get to know you all and work together to help the environment. We all made speeches about what we wanted to do, and got voted in!
Our team aims for the year ahead are:
-Litter pick the school grounds so they are looking clean and tidy
-Set up new animal homes in the forest, like bird boxes, bug hotels or hedgehog nests
-Save electricity and water around the school
-Raise awareness of what everyone can do in little ways to help
-Find out if we can help the wider environment outside of our school grounds
-Make sure we are Fairtrade and all understand why
Previous Work
In Previous years, Eco-Council have worked hard to reduce electricity use in classes by running a monitoring system on teacher who leave their projectors on, they have run a fair-trade tuck shop, they have organised litter picking and a walk to school and found out what children want in the forest to learn about new creatures and nature.
