On Tuesday, a small team of Year 4’s went to Bourton-on-the-water Primary school to play a football tournament against other schools in our area. We were very excited and all couldn’t wait to get there – we had been talking about it all week! Adam, Xavier, Cameron, Alexander, Monty, Nat, Martha and Rubi formed our team because Ottie was ill and couldn’t play. First, we played Swell and Longborough team but we lost as they scored lots of goals, then we played Great Rissington School when we got a draw. In the third game, against Bourton B team and we thrashed them 5-0.
We then went through to a play off because we played so well to see who got first and second, it was against Bourton A team and they played very well. We were very hopeful in the first half because we scored. We tried our hardest but finished second – we were very proud of how well we did. Miss Nessling said we were very good sportsmen and congratulated the other teams well. We all went home tired but happy.
