Reporting of Covid-19 positive cases during the Christmas holidays
Before Christmas, if your child tests positive for Covid-19 and you calculate that symptoms developed within 48 hours of last being in school, please email head@bledington.gloucs.sch.uk to inform us.
Parents/carers of pupils and staff who were not symptomatic but tested positive within 48 hours of last being in school also need to let the school know.
Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since last being in school, the school should NOT be notified. Parents and carers should then follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace. There is no need to email school about a later confirmed case unless the quarantine period will extend beyond 4th January and your child will therefore be absent on Tuesday 5th January (Monday 4th Jan is an Inset day).
All confirmed cases continue to be reported to the health protection team: healthprotection@gloucestershire.gov.uk
Contact details for parents/carers from 21st-24th December:
The Local Authority will offer the COVID School Enquiries inbox to parents and carers for notification of positive cases from 21st-24th December. This will be covered from 9am-5pm each day.
