On Friday 25th September, the children in Green Class, along with some help from the BSA baked cakes and hosted a cake sale in the hall for parents and children in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
We raised £165.20!!! Thank you to everyone who helped us to achieve this by baking and buying our cakes.
On Friday 18th September, Bledington School took a team of Year 5's and 6's to Cirencester Rugby Club to take part in the Gloucestershire Rugby World Cup Tag-Rugby Festival. This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to be a part of a unique event to celebrate the hosting of the Rugby World Cup and to compete against 35 other schools from around the county. They all represented the school proudly whilst playing a total of 10 matches throughout the day. They eventually finished a respectable 17th out of the 36 schools. A great achievement!
There have been lots of changes at Bledingon School for the beginning of this year!
Firstly, we have a new Headteacher - Ms Kewley. We also have a new Year 3 and 4 teacher in Blue Class - Miss Ryan. Mrs Lay is working with the children in Yellow Class and Mrs Gittings is working in Green Class. We also have a new face in the office - Mrs Logue.
A warm welcome to all of the new adults around school and of course the new children in Yellow Class.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
