Swimming

Swimming is not only a vital aspect of the P.E curriculum but is also an essential life skill. Each child at Bledington , from Reception to Year 6, will undertake a program of progressive swimming lessons each year.

All of our pupils in Year 6 are able to:

• swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
• use a range of strokes effectively
• perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations
