Welcome to Parrot Class! Miss Nessling and I are really looking forward to another busy term, full of learning lots and hopefully having fun too, including the end of year play!
This term we will be going back in time to learn about Castles to Stately Homes. We'll look at how castles changed over time and explore life above and below stairs in Britain's grand houses.
As Parrot class are ‘top’ of the school we’ll be leading the way and setting a great example all the other children about how we behave each day and our really positive attitude to learning.
Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Have a look at our Topic Map for Summer Term 2 to find out all the different things we'll be learning.
Here are our Knowledge Organisers for Science and Topic. These should help tell you more about what we'll be learning and useful information about our topics.
Homework expectations
Homework will continue to be an important aspect of the children's learning during their time in Parrot Class.
Children will be expected to read daily (ideally to an adult), alongside a weekly READ task which is due on a Monday.
Children will be expected to work on their Maths Passport and spellings across the week as this will be assessed weekly.
Each half term a set of 6 pieces of homework will be on Seesaw. These include Maths, English, Science and other activities such as art. It is expected that all six pieces are completed by the due date (the last Tuesday of the term).
We are excited to be using Seesaw, our online platform. You'll find our weekly spellings, homework and communications from your class teacher on there. Please do have a look!
